I recently photographed portraits for Suzanne and this time I got to meet more of the family, her husband Christopher and their lovely puppy Heike. We walked around the waterfront in the freezing cold. The decorations really put us into a festive mood. We had great fun!!
Suzy and Christopher have been together for 5 years, married for 2. They were very fortunate to spend part of that time living and working in Prague, but relocated back to Seattle in 2009. Returning home they selected an urban life style (since the kids are grown) and moved to north Capital Hill in Seattle.
Heike, their darling and smart puppy came to them through the wonderful volunteer organization, Northwest German Shepherd Rescue. Heike’s first six months of life were harsh. She had been found wandering in Eastern Washington, a hub for puppy mills. Through the dedication of volunteers, she spent the next six months in various shelters and foster homes. In March, the NGSR temporarily took her in and that’s where they found her (or she found us). She brings joy to their lives and didn’t want to leave their sides the whole photoshoot.
And, a few of my favs:
Thanks again so much! Happy New Year! Give that cute pooch of yours another belly rub from me! 🙂
