MAUI Destination Wedding / Family Beach – Part 1!

ALOHA! I am so excited to post and share these photos from 4 days in MAUI! Yes, I LOVE shooting destination weddings, but this one was extra special. So special that I am breaking it up in different posts as there are so many photos I want to share. Now about Maui….. I am seriously in love with everything about it. Not only were we truly in paradise but I had one of the most amazing, funny, down to earth bride and grooms, and truly a couple that I just adore! So to start this series off I am going to start with my brides’ family shoots on the beach to get us in that “aloha” mood….
Now a little about my couple’s family:
Christy, my bride, and her sister, decided to give their parents’ an extra special 42nd wedding anniversary gift; a family photo shoot on the beach with their entire family, a family that also grew by one within the last month.  Karen and Nate have been married for almost nine years; and Christy and Marty were just married in July. The last time they had a family photo taken was over twenty years ago. (Boy how the hairstyles have changed since then!) Christy and her sister felt that this would be a great memory for all of us to have and hopefully they will continue this tradition every year going forward. Pictures are truly priceless!
There were lots of laughs and shout outs while taking the photos and they even stayed reasonably dry from the ocean even with the strong current.  We all enjoyed our time together in front of the condo where they were staying.  Just another beautiful day in paradise!

And, keep an eye out as there are a ton of more pictures to come….wedding, sunset shoot, trash your dress, and just fun in the sun photos of my view of true paradise. I already cannot wait to go back!
