Two nights before the “Big Day” I photographed the “Rehearsal Dinner” at Pogacha. A delicious, fun Italian restaurant. Lauren and Jesse’s family had the back room all to themselves for their big dinner. A gorgeous setting with dimmed lighting, and the food was so delicious.
The big day was held at “The Salish Lodge” at the Snoqualmie Falls. It was such a beautiful location even with the construction that is going on right now. We lucked out with no rain, it was a perfect day. I was able to photograph so much outside which is one of my favorite parts; capturing beautiful natural light.
The girls, (the Bride, her Mom, her Aunt from Iowa, and the Maid of Honor) all stayed at the resort the night before pampering themselves at “The Spa” on site. (lucky girls!) They were all awake, and already getting ready when I arrived to start shooting at 6:30am. I started with all the detail shots while the bride got her hair and make-up done. It was done by two very fun women from www.iloveblush.com. I was tickled to use the library for the Brides beautiful accessories including all the vintage games, globe, and of course all the vintage books.
While the Bride was finishing up, the Groom arrived but wasn’t allowed to see the Bride yet of course. I photographed their sweet, darling two year old getting his tux on. He was such a prince the whole entire day! Just so cute and I was so impressed how he left his entire tux on for their whole “entire” day. We then did the first glance in the beautiful library setting so we could continue with all the shots before the guests arrived.
The ceremony was very beautiful… So romantic! The Reception was absolutely breathtaking! It totally reminded of Cinderella’s wedding. The colors were burgundy and gold. All the details the Bride’s family put together were absolutely incredible. Everything was perfectly planned and everyone left with an entire bag full of many special gifts from the Bride and Groom. The “sit down” dinner was just fabulous. Lauren & Jesse’s “Engagement Photos” were placed in darling gold frames all around each place setting. The flowers were just beautiful. The cake was perfectly designed and so delicious.
I have been working with Lauren for the last 10 months, and have enjoyed every minute of it. The best part of my job is getting to know each couple. Establishing a relationship with them so I can work with them in the future. I’ve loved getting to know Lauren and I’m so thankful to call you my Dear Friend. Not only you & Jesse, I have loved getting to know your family and precious son Carter. There were so many joyful tears shed on your day, including myself behind the camera! I’m truly blessed that I was a part of your PERFECT day!

P.S. Extra special thanks to you Lisa! I received the cutest handmade gift from the Bride’s Mom last week. She made me the cutest “pink and purple” knitted slippers. I can’t even tell you how many hours I’ve already used them to stay warm while editing! I’m all about being comfy with my puppy “art directing” my work right by my side. 😉 XO!
