J + M / Family Photos!

Jeremy and Michelle toughed out the freezing cold weather! It was so cold Jack Frost came the night before and the whole dock at Carillion Point was solid white! It made for a great backdrop, however it was mighty slippery, and once we were all numb (within a couple minutes) we all did not mind the freezing weather!

And as you know I am a huge dog fan so to photograph their three doggies was an extra special treat! They were all so much fun, so well behaved, and just gorgeous dogs! They did not mind the photo shoot at all, thanks little ones! 😉

Now a little about the couple:
Jeremy and Michelle relocated from AZ to WA three years ago and are loving life in the Pacific Northwest. When they are not working they enjoy camping, wine tasting, and hanging with their dogs, Juno (Husky w/blue eyes), Suka (Husky w/brown eyes), and Milo (Shih Tzu). Suka is the princess of the house, Milo is the protector, and Juno is the laid back older brother.

On their own, Jeremy enjoys the scenic views of Seattle on his long runs training for marathons and Michelle enjoys shopping and hanging with the girls. They love football and are huge Bronco fans so they wanted a few shots in their jerseys. All I can say is that it was a good thing their shoot was in Kirkland rather than the Hawks nest! 😉 They both look forward to many more years exploring all that Washington has to offer.

G + J “WEDDING!”

We could have never asked for a more perfect day for Gyna and Jeremy’s wedding day. Absolutely stunning couple, with such fun personalities, gorgeous venue, super fun wedding party, and dear sweet friends and families.

I love starting with the bride as she’s getting ready. Gyna was nothing but smiles the whole entire time, just like she is each and every day. She was so calm and collected and truly enjoying each and every second.

We then headed to the waterfront at South Lake Union for the couples “1st Glance.” Then off to the ceremony and reception site on the “Skansonia.” I love photographing weddings at this location. Beautiful venue, breathtaking views, and located right on Lake Union. The ceremony took place in the evening so the sun was setting as the couple said their vows on the front of the boat with a view of the Space Needle in the distance.

Gyna, the bride, was so crafty and had so many fun details, everything from invitations, name cards, signs, an amazing candy bar, and lots more. The bride’s family came all the way from Venezuela for all the festivities, as this is where Gyna is originally from. It was fun to see all the special touches that she designed for their big day along with the amazing Samba dancers that performed. So much fun!

R + T “ENGAGED!”

I love Engagement Sessions as it’s so important to me to know my Brides and Grooms well before the big day! We had to reschedule this session a few times as it was raining and then voila we could not have asked for a more perfect day at Golden Gardens Park in Seattle. The sun was shining bright, the leaves were gorgeous colors, and not only did I have a fun couple to photograph I got to meet their sweet German Sheppard.

Rachel designed the cutest frames for the shoot with their wedding date to add to their “Save the Dates” that they will be coming out with. I always love props and these were so cute! I already cannot wait to see what other touches she comes up with for their big day!

And, a little bit about Rachel and Tyson:

Rachel is an Administrative Assistant for an accounting firm and Tyson works for Boeing (3^rd generation in his family). They have been dating for 8 years now. Rachel was a senior in high school when they met, Tyson had graduated the year before, but they did not know each other. They met through two good friends of theirs, and the rest as they say is history. They just bought their first home at the beginning of the year and spent two months remodeling and fixing it all up. It has been a labor of love for both of them! Rachel loves art and design so it’s been a wonderful way to put her own style and vision into it just for them. Tyson’s past work experience in building homes has been a great advantage for them, they were able to do a lot of the work themselves and with the help of family and friends.

One of the best decisions they ever made was to get Henry, their German Sheppard. They got him when he was 8 weeks old and now he is almost 5 years old! Henry has a lot personality and you always know what he is thinking from the look on his face or from his voice because he is very talkative; he will let you know what is on his mind. He loves to play outside and fetch and when he rests it is usually on the couch (when we are not in the room), very sneaky. He is a very important member of their family and they love him so much!

Rachel and Tyson are getting married in August 2012 and are very excited! They have known for a very long time they would get married someday and now it is just around corner. The ceremony will take place outside and the reception will be in a barn (country chic!), they are looking forward to celebrating with family and friends in a fun and beautiful atmosphere.

Holiday Sessions are in Full Swing!

I donated another session to a school and for the 2^nd year in a row the same family bid on it and WON! This is a big compliment to photograph them again this year, they are such a fun family; and their little ones are always on the go! This year we headed down to Idlewood Park in Redmond. This family is always decked out with coordinating colors and they just look perfect! I just love it!

Now a little bit about the family:

This family of 5 is as active as they are young! With DJ (6 years old), Martha Ann (4 years old) and Stephen (2 ½ years old) a day at the park is both fun and busy. “Catch ’em,” is often heard echoing off the water as parents scramble as the three are often going in different directions. “We wouldn’t have it any other way.” one parent exclaims.

Matt – Class of 2012!

Senior Sessions are always fun but getting asked to photograph other siblings in one family years later is even better! Matt started out with an urban feel, casual clothes, and lots of texture in the background with grafitti. He then went with a contrast of colors with the gorgeous fall colors at Marymoor Park.

And, a little bit about Matt:

Matt’s passion is dance, contemporary, and hip hop; he can move, groove, and choreograph. For the most part he is just a normal teenager who enjoys hanging out with his friends. He is currently in his senior year in the Running Start program at Bellevue College through his local high school, Eastlake. His favorite subjects are philosophy and dance. His future plans are to attend the University of Washington and study pre-med. Matt is a very easy going guy and I enjoyed getting to know him.
