T + C “ENGAGED”!

We have been VERY limited on SUNNY days here in Seattle this summer, but we could not have asked for more of a perfect day for this couple’s “ENGAGEMENT SESSION!” We headed downtown to a gorgeous park with an amazing view. We took a few minutes to hit up a very cool and hip coffee shop that the couple used to frequent a lot when they lived in the neighborhood. After that we then hit the Asian Art Museum where we all were surprised to see some bikers take time out to pose in one of the same spots my couple did. See one of the shots here that I posted up earlier.

Now a little about the couple:

Tim and Christine both grew up in the Kansas City area. Although they attended the same high school, they were a year apart in age and did not know each other until they were both attending The University of Kansas in 2003. They had some mutual friends, were in the same Art History class, and found their paths crossing more and more. Tim and Christine started dating shortly after Christmas at the end of that semester.

After graduating in 2007, Tim moved to Seattle for a short-term internship. Neither of them was sure at the time whether the move would become permanent, but things worked out. Christine moved to join him a year later. For the past three years they have enjoyed exploring the Northwest. They love camping, hiking, snowboarding, and kayaking. Last New Year’s Eve, the two decided to spend the day snowboarding at Crystal Mountain as they celebrated their 7-year anniversary, since they began dating. At the top of the lifts before their first run of the day, Tim got down on (two) knees with his snowboard strapped on and asked Christine to marry him. Despite being 16 degrees, it was the perfect day! They will be married this fall in the Arboretum in Seattle.

And, a few “SNEAK PEEKS”:

Tim and Christine are both laid back and so amazing to work with. Tim is also a photographer, so it was very fun when he came to me with ideas that he had.  I can’t wait for your big day at the Arboretum in October. One of my favorite locations to shoot at, as it is so beautiful.
Thanks again so much!
Cheers,
Rachelle
