Beach Babes!

I have known Kelly since she was practically her daughter’s age now and I have been really looking forward to this “Family Shoot”. My sister and I actually grew up dancing (ballet, tap, and jazz with Kelly) so this was extra special to photograph her darling two little ones. They were already waiting outside to meet me as I drove up in my Jeep. I had such a fun and enthusiastic greeting from both of them, I knew right at that moment “I” was in for a treat! We headed out to the backyard of Grandma’s and Grandpa’s beach house that looks right out to Lake Sammamish, a perfect location for photos.

Now a little bit about the family:

Kelly is the Catering Sales Manager at the Golf Club at Newcastle, and keeps very busy with Weddings, Golf Tournaments, and Corporate Businesses. Being a busy, single mom, time with her kiddos is extremely precious to her. She tries to fill it with fun activities, for example, going to the Zoo, the Aquarium, or the park or having “Dance Parties” in the living room.  And in the summertime you can most often find them playing at Grandma and Grandpa’s beach.  The beach has a lot of history behind it since it has been in their family for a couple of generations. Kelly spent her childhood swimming in the lake and having bonfires on the beach and sleeping on the lawn as her mom did before her, and now she gets to watch her kiddos enjoy it.

Jack is almost 5, and asks Kelly every day if he looks big enough to be 5 yet! And Jordyn is 3 1/2 with enough attitude to be 33 years old. Kelly’s decided Jordyn is a mixed bag of personality traits of all of the strong women in her family and she keeps her on her toes!

Thank you so much for letting me have a fun morning with all of you at the beach! Your kids are precious and had me laughing the whole time. Looking forward to the next shoot very soon!

Big hugs, Rachelle
