Shane can make Nancy laugh uncontrollably.  He is so sweet, caring, and thinks of Nancy when it comes to everything and he puts detailed thoughts into everything they do, even on the spur of the moment.  Nancy is very caring and is always doing things to let Shane know she is thinking of him, even when they are apart. She has accepted Shane’s boys as her own, which fills his heart with joy.  She’s fun to laugh with but also can handle being laughed at! Although Nancy isn’t a die-hard Seahawk fan, Shane still loves her. 🙂

Their interests:  They love going to 5^th Avenue Theater each year to attend shows and eating at new places.  They enjoy traveling to Wineries, taking tours, and short weekend getaways. They also enjoy doing the simplest things like shopping and going to movies. No matter what they are doing, they laugh, and enjoy every minute together.

How they met: They both attended the same high school, but were not with the same group of friends.  Twenty years later after they both re-connected on Facebook, while Nancy was living in Arizona, she relocated back to Washington to be with Shane and his family.  They knew just after two dates that they would never leave each other’s side.

The proposal: Nancy arrived home to a darkened house with a red suede rope draping up the stairs through the main part of the house to the second level and into the bedroom lined with scented candles.  Lined on the rope were pictures of them along with quotes in chronological order from the time they met.  As she approached the bedroom he was standing next to the bed and was dressed so handsome.  She walked in and saw out of the corner of her eye something large propped up on the bed but it was covered and then they exchanged some precious words.  Shane then reached for a small box and kneeled down. Nancy was already in tears and he pulled the cover off the item on the bed, it was a caricature picture of them in the proposal position.  Shane then asked Nancy to marry him and her answer, of course, was YES, YES, YES!!!  He then said wait and lifted a heart shaped object off the corner of the picture.  Under it the word “YES” appeared.  They laughed, cried, hugged, and kissed; it was the best moment of Nancy’s life.

I met Jennifer at the January Bridal show put on by BridesClub.com! Jenn and her husband, Mark, were both one of my big weekend winners. I had fun meeting them and figuring out the details of the session plus I was able to hear their details about their wedding day. We headed downtown to EMP. These two lovebirds didn’t let the freezing cold stop them.

Now a little bit about the couple:
Mark enjoys hunting (big game and waterfowl), fishing, golf, and camping with family and friends. Mark is also a huge Seattle sports fan (Seahawks, Mariners, Sounders FC, and hopefully an NBA team soon). He works at a local Seattle Ad agency for the past 5 years, and is currently an Account Director focused on their Microsoft line-of-business. He has been enamored with Jenn from the minute he met her their freshman year of college at Western Washington University, and he cannot wait to start their lives together.

Jenn enjoys music, 4-wheeling, watching basketball, the outdoors, socializing with friends and family, and playing with her friends’ children during her spare time. She is a passionate educator at a Vancouver, WA elementary school, where she teaches 1st grade. She’s been in education for four years, and loves the smiles she gets from each and every one of her students. Jenn has an infectious personality, and undeniably is the light of Mark’s life.

Mark and Jenn met through a mutual friend while in college at Western Washington University. They instantly started a friendship and as it progressed, Mark graduated and moved to Seattle – and the two eventually lost touch. Four years later Jenn (now living in Vancouver, WA) went up to Bellingham, WA to visit friends from college, and Mark coincidentally was there that same weekend. The two reconnected, and after a couple weeks of texting and late night phone conversations, Jenn came up to visit Mark and they recognized they were meant for each other. In January of 2012, Mark proposed to Jenn by having her meet him at the lobby of the Bellevue Place building, and had 11 of his coworkers (one of which was videotaping everything with a head mounted go-pro camera) randomly walk up to her as she was waiting for Mark who was “running late” and handed her a rose. Mark was the final one to walk up and hand her a rose, and the rest is history. 🙂

Mark and Jenn are getting married in August in Vancouver, WA. They will be having a mini-honeymoon as Jenn will be hurrying to prepare for a new school year, with a full honeymoon in December. They’re so excited to start their lives together, and cannot wait to see what the future has in store for them.
