ELYCE + MIKE’S WEDDING!

CONGRATULATIONS to ELYCE & MIKE! This BRIDE and GROOM could not have selected a more beautiful location. The intimate ceremony and reception was held at The Alderbrook Resort & SpaThe day was perfect…the lodge is absolutely gorgeous and looks right out into the Hood Canal. With so much to do and see this getaway is perfect for any couple! Swimming, sunbathing, dining with views of the Olympic Mountains, be pampered in their Spa, walks on the beach, boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboats, crabbing, fly fishing….the list goes on and on. Need more ideas see their list of “101 Favorite Things To Do” and best yet, they are also a dog friendly hotel so you don’t have to leave your furry friend behind.

When we arrived, the bride and groom each had their own cabins to get ready in. We started out shooting all of the special “details”. Everything from the gorgeous invites, programs that Elyce had designed, to photographing even their darling dog that was dressed all up  with a his tux collar. Let me tell you how handsome even he looked. There was not a detail missed with this couple…everything was just perfect!

The “First Glance” of the couple, we selected right out in front of their cabins that overlooked the beautiful view. Both the bride and groom looked gorgeous and was such an exceptional moment. The ceremony was extremely special, and their vows fit the couple perfectly, and after the “kiss,” they danced their way out while their family and friends blew bubbles to celebrate.

The reception was held in the lodge, where as they entered, they signed their “Engagement Guest Signing Album” that I designed with a few of their favorites from their “Engagement Session.” A perfect piece that guests can sign and will be an extra special memory for the bride and groom to look back on. Next, was the delicious buffet that everyone enjoyed, special toasts were then given by many of their close friends and family. Elyce and Mike will also be having another reception where they can celebrate with more of their family and friends. I am also very excited and honored to share in that big day later this summer.

Joy Lawson - Absolutely Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A + T’s WEDDING!

A BIG CONGRATS to my bride and groom ALEXANDRIA and TIMOTHY! It was such an amazing day at the Pan Pacific Hotel in downtown Seattle. Gorgeous venue for the ceremony and reception, they actually had the whole entire second floor to themselves to share with all their friends and family.

We started out shooting in the “presidential suite” as all the girls were getting ready. Such a beautiful room, with an amazing view that looked out to the Space Needle. The maid of honor, bridesmaids, and flower girl all had beautiful dresses while the brides dress was absolutely stunning! We started with all the “details”, one of my favorite parts of a wedding day, and took photos of the girls getting their hair and make-up done. Then we were off to the groom and all of his guys, everyone was very laid back and so excited for the festivities to start. The ceremony was gorgeous, and then the celebrating began… As the guests entered the ballroom they signed the “Engagement Album” that I designed for them with some of our favorite photos from the Engagement Session. It is such a special keepsake to remember this perfect day. Next was a sit down dinner that was one of the best dinners I have ever had. The cake was one of my very favorites, simple, yet so elegant and perfect. It was designed by New Renaissance Cakes they also had a very sweet candy bar that was fun to photograph too. Dancing began as the bride and groom and I snuck back up to the “presidential suite” where they would spend their wedding night. I took fun photos of them jumping on the bed, and laying in the jacuzzi tub. Beautiful photos to show off what fun these two have with each other!

Here are just a few of my favorites from the BIG DAY:

Thank you so much Alexandria and Timothy for allowing me to share in your BIG DAY. I am truly honored and have had so much fun working with you and getting to know you both. You are an amazing couple and I wish you many more years of happiness!

Cheers! Rachelle

A + S ENGAGED!

We started out at the beautiful Lincoln Park without knowing that an Easter egg hunt was going on that same morning so we had to avoid all the cute little kiddos… The park itself is gorgeous, and the beach and waterfront make for a perfect spot for a photo shoot. We had fun walking around finding different backgrounds along with their adorable cute puppy.

And, a little bit about the Allison and Scott:

Scott was born in a small town of Angwin, CA. He and his family moved to Auburn, WA when Scott was in the 7th grade. Scott loves to sing and he spent six years proudly serving his country in the United States Army as a Chaplin’s assistant. He is currently pursuing his degree in computer science and hopes to work in the field of video game design.

Allison was born and raised in West Seattle. Allison chose to follow in her father’s footsteps and pursue a career in Accounting. Allison got her BA in Accounting at the University of Washington Business School. Allison is currently an accountant for the City of Seattle. At the age of 21, Allison met a 2 ½ year old boy named Macieo and after five years of raising Macieo, she was granted full legal guardianship of him. Allison knew that any man that would accept her also had to also accept her son and their unique situation.

They started dating in 2008 and have been inseparable since. The two homebodies love spending quality time together and can almost always find them watching TV, building puzzles, hosting game nights with their friends or planning their next trip to their favorite vacation spot: Disney theme parks, which they average two times a year.

Allison and Scott dated for a year and decided to move in together and have now lived together for a year and a half, Scott has stepped up and become an amazing father to Allison’s son and the couple cannot wait to expand their family. The couple decided the first step to this expansion was to adopt a four year old cat named Sasha in January 2010 and a two month old puppy, Leonard, in February 2011. Scott and Allison got engaged on March 25, 2011, where Scott set up a romantic proposal at their home. Obviously the answer was “YES!” Who else would have noticed her ringtone was “the imperial march” in a crowded room the night they met or has the same unusual love for cereal? They will be getting married outside in a relaxed ceremony in August and cannot wait to start their lives as an “official” family.

J + W ENGAGED!

We headed out to Seattle for a fun filled day. I had a fabulous time getting to know more about Jennifer and Wayde. They are such a fun couple and had me laughing behind the camera many times. They went for a very slick, dressed up look to start, and then went into there favorite Seahawks jerseys, back to a darling cute and hip look. Very fashionable I must say. We loved being in Seattle. We hit up Downtown, Qwest Field, ending up on the water front. It was truly a gorgeous day with a darling couple.

Here is a little about the couple:
Wayde and Jennifer met about 10 years ago and then started dating 7 years later. Wayde works in Construction, and loves motorcycles and the Seahawks. Jennifer is a Dental Assistant and enjoys cooking. She is a avid Seahawk fan!! Wayde surprised Jennifer with a proposal in Leavenworth in January during Ice Festival! A trip they will never forget! They are looking forward to getting married this July!

S + N ENGAGED!

Sharon and Neal were my BIG WINNERS from a drawing for one of my FREE ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS! I had a blast getting to know more about Sharon and Neal who are an incredibly sweet, laid-back couple who made this engagement session very special to me.

Their session was held at the University of Washington and we honestly could not have asked for more of a perfect day in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. You would think with having the photo shoot on the UW’s campus it would be all about the Purple and Gold….well not this day! It was all about the PINK CHERRY BLOSSOMS! And wow, talk about breathtaking. The quad was packed, and even with another wedding party shooting, but I still found the right spots to make this couple shine!

And, a little bit about the couple:

Sharon and Neal met in the beginning of 2007 at work. Neil worked at Group Health on Capitol Hill in nuclear medicine and Sharon just started her final rotation as a student in x-ray school. They started talking to each other when Neal asked if she was related to someone he knew with the same last name. It turned out that she was! From that point on, they started talking with one another regularly. After a month, they were spending a lot of time together doing fun things like going out to eat, going to movies, and doing things around the Seattle area. They like to travel and go on little out-of-town trips to the Oregon coast, Las Vegas, Hawaii, and Mexico. But most of all some of the best dates they have had are staying inside to cook a gourmet dinner, watch movies, and just relax. They both have such busy schedules and relaxing is always their favorite thing to do these days.

(In Neal’s words…) Sharon is a beautiful person inside and out. She is very caring to her family and friends. I am so lucky to have her in my world.

(In Sharon’s words…) Neal is a smart and hard-working man. He’s my tall, dark, and handsome hubby-to-be. He’s the best cook in the world! He appears to be quiet at first, but once you get to know him, he says the funniest things. I too, am very lucky to have Neal in my life.

Neal proposed to Sharon in December 2010 by using glow-in-the-dark stars to spell out “Marry me?” on the ceiling. Sharon did not notice them until they turned out the lights. She was so surprised! Neal also hid a bottle of champagne under the bed to celebrate after she said yes! Currently, Neil is close to finishing his graduate degree in physician assistant studies at the UW while Sharon is working as a diagnostic rad tech. They are trying to plan their wedding while Neal is finishing school. Busy times! They hope to get married in the summer of 2012. “We can’t wait to begin our lives together!”
