Sweet Baby “HARPER” / Newborn Session

I always love “Newborn Sessions” and had just photographed Julie’s Baby Bump photos a couple weeks before. We were all very excited to meet this precious little princess and let me tell you she is a princess! Mommy had her dressed all up; her chocolate brown and pink baby room is totally adorable. And, big sister couldn’t be more proud!

Now a little bit about the family:

Harper Alison Hartinger joined their family at 1:10 pm on Tuesday, June 7th weighing 8 lbs 6 oz and was 21 inches long. Harper arrived with a lot to say until she heard Daddy’s voice and immediately quieted down. They may have another Daddy’s girl on their hands!

They became a family a couple years ago when Mommy and Daddy met. Daddy and Isabel, “Izzy,” came as a package and Mommy was not sure who she fell in love with first on that first date. Izzy is a special spirit and Daddy was pretty cute too! Unfortunately, Izzy lost her mother to colon cancer in 2008. Julie says it’s a blessing to have the privilege and honor of being a Mommy to Izzy here on earth. Their family makes sure to honor and cherish Izzy’s mommy in heaven too. They hope she’s happy that Izzy now has a sister to cause trouble with in life! Of course it’s no surprise that Izzy is a perfect big sister! She’ll be 5 in July (something she’s been reminding us about since January). She helps Mommy and Daddy whenever asked. Add 2 canines to the mix and they have a full and vibrant family!

And, a few of my favs:

They look forward to lots of memories with their two sweet girls and they are excited to introduce Harper to the world! I am already looking forward to documenting many more precious moments with your family as your darling girls grow up!

Congrats!

Beach Babes!

I have known Kelly since she was practically her daughter’s age now and I have been really looking forward to this “Family Shoot”. My sister and I actually grew up dancing (ballet, tap, and jazz with Kelly) so this was extra special to photograph her darling two little ones. They were already waiting outside to meet me as I drove up in my Jeep. I had such a fun and enthusiastic greeting from both of them, I knew right at that moment “I” was in for a treat! We headed out to the backyard of Grandma’s and Grandpa’s beach house that looks right out to Lake Sammamish, a perfect location for photos.

Now a little bit about the family:

Kelly is the Catering Sales Manager at the Golf Club at Newcastle, and keeps very busy with Weddings, Golf Tournaments, and Corporate Businesses. Being a busy, single mom, time with her kiddos is extremely precious to her. She tries to fill it with fun activities, for example, going to the Zoo, the Aquarium, or the park or having “Dance Parties” in the living room.  And in the summertime you can most often find them playing at Grandma and Grandpa’s beach.  The beach has a lot of history behind it since it has been in their family for a couple of generations. Kelly spent her childhood swimming in the lake and having bonfires on the beach and sleeping on the lawn as her mom did before her, and now she gets to watch her kiddos enjoy it.

Jack is almost 5, and asks Kelly every day if he looks big enough to be 5 yet! And Jordyn is 3 1/2 with enough attitude to be 33 years old. Kelly’s decided Jordyn is a mixed bag of personality traits of all of the strong women in her family and she keeps her on her toes!

Now a few of my favorites:

Thank you so much for letting me have a fun morning with all of you at the beach! Your kids are precious and had me laughing the whole time. Looking forward to the next shoot very soon!

Big hugs, Rachelle

Bon Voyage Eric & Stacy!

Stacy and Eric are on a Carnival Cruise ship that is setting sail to the Caribbean. Their family and close friends are celebrating with them as they said their “I Do’s” on a weeklong cruise to Cozumel, Mexico, The Grand Cayman Islands, and Jamaica. I myself have been on these exact same cruise years ago and let me tell you, it is fun! Loved every minute of it (minus swimming with the sting rays… loved swimming with the dolphins, but sting rays awe….not so much!) so to get married on this cruise ship will even be more special for Stacy & Eric!

And, a little bit about the couple:

Eric and Stacy met in the fall of 2001 and have been friends ever since. Eric caught Stacy completely by surprise when they were on a Caribbean cruise with her entire family in June 2010 when after dinner, the headwaiter had brought Stacy a “special” dessert. After everybody at the table had been served their dessert, the waiter brought to Stacy her dessert, which was hidden by a silver dome cover over the plate. She was then handed a single red rose and once the waiter had removed the cover, she saw a beautifully wrapped little box with a white bow. At that moment, she knew what it was as her eyes started to tear up. Eric then got down on one knee in front of her entire family AND the rest of the people who were having dinner in the formal dining room. Eric then asked Stacy if she would do him the honor of marrying him and becoming his wife. Of course she said yes and it turned out to be one of the greatest nights of her entire life.

Stacy contacted me to take photos of her in her wedding gown before the big day as her sisters were flying in for a long weekend to celebrate her bridal shower and bachelorette party. We headed off to Carillon Point in Kirkland with her two sisters, Thuy, and Tien and very good friend Ngoc in their bridal party and had fun with a photo shoot before the big day. Lui made all of the bouquets, and they were just so perfect and so beautiful! The bride looked gorgeous along with her girls in their bright yellow floor length dresses. They then changed into another outfit for more photos! We all had a great time and these gorgeous girls were so much fun to work with!

And a few of my favs as I have been very excited to share these, however I had to post these up until now so the Groom wouldn’t see them!

Congrats to you both as I know you are having the time of your lives celebrating with your family and close friends! Bon Voyage!

B+M’s SNEAK WEDDING PEEKS!

Congrats to Brenda and Matt as they just got married today! I had the honor of photographing this darling couple as they said “I do” in front of all their family and friends at the “Arbor Gardens” in Lake Stevens. Not only did we have rain the ‘entire’ day from when we started at 8am, but the non-stop downpour did not hinder this Bride and Groom.

I couldn’t have ever imagined working with a bride that was honestly the calmest bride I have ever worked with; every time I turned around she had a gorgeous smile on her face. No matter what had happened she was not going to let the downpour put a hinder on any part of her day! Brenda and Matt, you were both amazing along with your wedding party, coordinator, and florist! Big shout out to you all for all the help with holding umbrellas the entire day, and I do mean the entire day!

And, a couple “SNEAK PEEKS” from today and LOTS more to come:

Thank you so much Brenda and Matt for allowing me to capture your most important day in the rainiest day ever in Seattle! Hope we can all “unthaw” along with my cameras very soon!
